Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon

Good everyday sipper, taste of vanilla and cinnamon with a medium lasting finish. Price is very reasonable. Great Value.

Vanilla and caramel notes immediately noticeable with a slight hint of black licorice on the back end. Soft on the palate; a very pleasant sipping bourbon. Would not hesitate to make this one of my go-to bourbons. Definitely a hidden gem for the price.

Nose - vanilla and creme brulee Taste - chocolate mint followed by vanilla and oak.

Ha. The wife said buy something cheap, and I didn’t want anything in plastic, so I picked this up for $19.99, having had the 86 and finding it agreeable for even less. Not a lot jumps out immediately on the nose, but over time I get cinnamon, oak, crème brûlée, pine and butterscotch. On the palate it’s fairly one-dimensional but tasty; mostly cinnamon and toasted caramel with some oak and vanilla. Overall pretty basic, but a pretty good bottle for $20.
