Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon

Moderate alcohol aroma that dissipates quickly. Not overly sweet. Fairly smooth when drinking neat. Nutty earthiness I can’t put my hands on. Average 100 proof. Not a bad price point for a mid shelf.

Some caramel and spice plus leather on the nose. Hearty oak on the a light sweetness but not a lot of depth on the palate. Harsh early burn on the finish that receeds swiftly, ethonol, alcohol and spices in the finish. Pretty basic pour, definitely worth having around for a mixture especially with it being a good value.

This is my go to bourbon. It has a caramel/vanilla smell with a hint of smokiness. Love it!
