Nose Ethanol that fades then vanilla cream
Palate Mint, chocolate vanilla
Gets better after a few minutes breathing
This one really grows on you. Good bourbon for the price
Nose - rich caramel and vanilla, strong mixture of baking spices
Taste - vanilla and then some citrus and caramel, pleasant oak spice notes
Finish - pretty sharp and a bit spicy, some solid heat going down
Great for making cocktails and mixed drinks. Not an overwhelming burn, but the 100 proof allows it to be noticed in a drink. I would recommend a whiskey sour. Notes of tobacco and hints of dark chocolate citrus. I really liked it neat with some drops of water.
Nose reminds me of grandma's fruit cake when puts a little to much happy juice in it. Both sweet and very heavy alcohol burn. Vanilla and dark fruit/wine like upfront on the tongue followed by heavy char and ethanol all the down. Lasting spice on the tongue. If you like burn and lingering spice you will like this. It did take a while for the sweeter notes to show on the front of the tongue. Flavor does get better over time. Water does not help in my opinion.
Nose is full of dark honey with classic cherry notes layered over a spicy oak. Mouth feel is medium with cherry, oak, and pepper spice coming through. A burnt sugar note seems to linger through the finish.
