Old Forester Statesman

Nose is fairly muted. I can make out a little Tobacco and leather. Sweet nuttiness, like a derby pie. (Candied pecan) The attack is soft that develops a tannic mouth feel. Maple, pecans, and toffee jump out at me. The finish is sweet and warm.

Disappointing. Stephanie’s review is way off. This is a rather bitter and unpleasant dram - Surprising from Old Forester.
