Old Forester Statesman

Nose: cotton candy, maple syrup Palate: maple, vanilla, very sweet Finish: a touch of spice but nothing exciting

A bit different from usual OF fare, although it uses the same mash bill. Sweet, with leather and vanilla upfront. Char and caramel break through before a long cinnamon and baking spice finish. Solid pour.

Tangy after taste

Definitely not my favorite from OF. I get the maple and charred barrel on the nose. Maple, leather and slight vanilla on the palate. Finish is a bit dull with the spice and burn coming through.
