Old Forester Statesman

Better than I remember from a few years ago, this one is quite a bit more thick and syrupy compared to their other bottles. I also get a little medicinal flavor at the very end of the finish.

Maple/vanilla sweet, spicy and slightly smoky

Rough, oak hints. Strong nose

Sweet and maple on nose with a hint of smoke. Hot taste with not nearly as much sweet as you smell. Tiny bit of citrus, peanut. Nice bourbon

Good, nice heat, nothing overly amazing for what I imagine the retail would be. Have not tried in a Manhattan.
