Nose has some leather and vanilla. I get cinnamon, cherry, and caramel on the taste. A little tingle in the aftertaste from the proof but not a linger taste other than cinnamon-roll.
4.0 for the price. $25 a bottle.
750ml poured neat into Glencairn at home. Nose is fiery, with rye spice, oak, and some orange peel. Taste is more subdued on the front, with the spice and oak balanced fairly well. The finish is a lingering spicy kick. One dimensional, though not without some character. Would be decent as a strong cocktail base. Neat, well ... eh. Hell of a bargain for the proof anyway.
Very spicy nose with a brown sugar undertone. Nose matches pallet. Burn tapers very quick and finishes sweetly. Finish holds on with a nice tingle. This is in my top 5 of value bourbon.
