Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon

Sipped at the Pope House in PDX. This one didn't meet the hype for me. Definitely enjoyable and worth another try or a purchase in the future. Wasn't expecting the strong cinnamon flavor to it. Could see this working better as a mixer in fancy cocktails than a bourbon sipped neat.

A thick bourbon with bold flavor and a good price point. Aroma and flavor is very strong at first and reminds me of fine suede. It stays strong but mellows out with a decent aftertaste. A good bottle to have in the cabinet and the bottle is one of my favorites. Bought for $23

Would never guess it's a high rye. It's very sweet and has a thicker feel as you drink it. Nice slow, low burn after the drink. One of my favorites right now, and an absolute steal at $20
