community rating

3 out of 5 stars
( 37 )

One of three releases in the "Lighthouse Collection", this bottling is named for the Noss Head historic lighthouse near Wick in the Highlands of Scotland. The name "Noss Head" comes from the Norse word "Snos", meaning "nose" as it is located on a nose-shaped headland. The whisky is aged only in ex-bourbon barrels and is a Travel Retail exclusive. It is non-chill filtered and no color has been added.

Tasting Notes

"Char smoke and copper are found on the nose first before you can get to the sweet vanilla and caramel. The whisky is soft on your palate and the flavors are full of raw wood, cinnamon, and sweet malted cereal. The bittersweet finish stops short and leaves you with an overwhelming feeling of "meh"."
