Old Pulteney 12 Year

I’ve been partaking of this fabulous dram for over a decade, and what goes in those casks is some of the finest malt in Scotland. Those casks have varied over the years from absolutely fabulous to mediocre. Luckily I’ve had way more good than not. If you like Single Malt Whisky and you have yet to try this dram, that needs to change. Amazing what 5 more years of maturation does to this Malt. 90/100

Vanilla, banana and citrus on the nose. Sweet, with hints of malt, honey and a touch of smoke. A spicy finish that lingers on the tongue. Very easy to drink, and more complex than I expected. A GREAT starter, or Wed evening scotch
