Old Pulteney 12 Year

Nose and palate: Sweet (vanilla, citrus fruits), then smoky/salty/spicy. Medium-long smoky/spicy finish.

This is one of the easiest drinking whiskeys I have ever tasted! Nothing that will overwhelm you but consistently very good! I got orchard fruit on the nose, most notably apples and pears. The nose taste was consistent with the nose with a very noticeable apple note. There was no smoke or peat to speak of, however I did get just a small amount of brine and seawater. Over all a very pleasant dram.

Sweet, fairly smooth. Complex yet easy to drink.
