First time trying old tub and it won’t be the last. This is a great pour for what it is, cheap bottled in bond, gives Evan Williams BIB a run for the money.
On the nose cinnamon red hots, Carmel, and vanilla with a little oak.
The palate is sweat up front leading into rye spice, and oak, with the typical Beam nutty note.
The finish is short but pleasant and mellows out with a nice mouth feel.
I will be keeping it stocked in my bar.
