Wild Turkey Master's Keep Unforgotten
Blended American Whiskey
Wild Turkey // Kentucky, USA
Wild Turkey Master's Keep Unforgotten is made from a blend of straight whiskeys distilled at Wild Turkey. More specifically, it's a blend of fully matured 13 year-old bourbon and 8 & 9 year-old rye whiskeys selected by Master Distiller Eddie Russell. After the whiskeys are married, the blend is finished in rye casks for a period of time before bottling at 105 proof.
Unforgotten was inspired by a previous 2010 release from Wild Turkey called Forgiven which was made by a "happy accident" when young bourbon was blended with a barrel of mature bourbon. This is limited edition release available beginning September 2022. (SRP $200).

Tasting Notes
"The aroma of the bourbon is full of lots of the familiar notes of carnival candies like caramel popcorn, vanilla, marshmallow along with the charred oak. The palate is where you'll get more of the rye notes, particularly on the midpalate and finish with a more robust and spiced, almost prickly, profile. The sweet caramel and toasted marshmallow notes are still present and the whiskey is full and weighty in the mouth. But the rye barrels seem to have taken the edge off just a bit. If you're not a fan of sweeter bourbon expressions, this should be right up your alley."
