District Made Ivy City Gin

Shocked by the low reviews here - this is one of my favorite gins, approachable and balanced.

Great in a G&T. The unusual grain bill gives it a creamier mouthfeel with a little spiciness and pepper from the botanicals and rye grain.

Strongly medicinal and bracing. Prominent juniper overwhelms other botanicals. Rye base adds some pepper, which results in a pretty rough sip, and a gin that isn't smooth enough to mix in more subtle cocktails. The distiller has an exciting and geeky approach, so I hope future gin recipes are much more to my liking (others I was with liked this gin more than I did, but I think I was the most avid gin drinker of the group).
