Pikesville Straight Rye

surprisingly calm nose. more leather and butterscotch notes on light nose. deep nose very smooth, no spice or burn. I'm intrigued... first drink surprisingly alive following that nose. great flavor, but short. Let's see how second taste goes. getting more vanilla on this nose. More burn, but just ate a chip that skewed the palette. Tasted Noah's Mill and Pikesville next to each other - Pikesville has more spice, almost mintish note... I think I'm appreciating ryes more...

Very good rye. Spicier than most especially considering the high corn content.
