First time trying a real jamaican rum so please bare with me. theres some dashes of brown sugar to begin but thats the last time your gonna taste it. Next notes are some dried fruit, intense bannana, oak, leather and spices. The finish comes along as dry, mildy spice with a funk i can imagine is what rum drinkers call “hogo”. Hogo imo tastes like mildly rotten fermenting fruit. Its a unique note that im not sure if i like. Ill make another review once im finished with the bottle
