Plantation Xaymaca Special Dry

A really nice mixing rum! Great for adding to a richer counterpart for a dryer, slightly funky depth in a rum old fashioned.

Amber colour The nose is abit funky with a smell of raw meat. There is also caramel banana and pineapple. The palette consists of Banana, coconut, caramel, smoke and salt. Medium body, bone dry and austere with medium length. The funk wears off after ten to fifteen minutes in the glass. Some drop's of water enhanced the smokeyness and salinity. It was really lovely with a wedge of orange too.

High ester but a let down in general
