Port Charlotte OLC:01 2010

Tasting this against standard bottle, islay barley and pac. Think my first tasting notes didn’t do it justice. I’m tasting more than just the peat and sherry notes. I would get a bottle of this. It’s a good abv too.

Nose: Fruit, oak, smoke, malt and toffee. Palate: Sweetly fruity, smoke, malt, dark sweets and spice. Finish: Long -> Malt, fruit and smoke

Nice peat and sherry balance. Nose: Raisins, Figs, Iodine, Potato Chips, Toffee, Oranges, Dark Chocolate Palate: Oranges, Figs, Raisins, Peaches, Cherries, Toffee, Honey, Dark Chocolate Finish: Figs, Raisins, Dark Chocolate, Dates, Salted Cod, Prunes

First opened No water Nose - charred sea breeze, caramel, green apple, grain, dark fruits Taste - smokey, light body, sugar syrup Overall - good peat flavor, but feels a little thin, decent scotch

Really just taste the sherry notes. It’s not bad but comparable if not inferior in taste to laphroaig 10 sherry and kilchoman sanaig which are much easier to get than this bottle which i would need to get mailed from overseas

fruity sweetness orange tangy lemon zest berry, high pep 3.25 oaky oramge citrus zest lemon peels, sourness nice balance/liken to lemon zest, thick oily complexity to it, oaky woody tail - i can give it a high rating for this but because of the woody tanin i will lower it down to 2.25 oaky woody tail, light peat 2 sweet tingy orange mandarin pep high , fruity citrus vanilla 3 acidic, spicy, orange, fruity, whacky, heavy hit on spice and pep 1 bitterness oak2 2

Not a ton of smoke, but tons of sweet
