Quintaliza is touted as the world's first coffee-aged tequila. The reposado tequila is matured in bourbon casks and finished in casks that held coffee from Chiapas, Mexico. The tequila is additive-free and certified organic, and is produced by fourth generation tequilera Iliana Partida at NOM 1522 Hacienda de Oro in Jalisco.
"Roasted agave and lime zest lead off on the nose, along with dark chocolate syrup and burnt caramel. The coffee shows up more on the palate, here in fresh ground form, along with baking chocolate, cacao nibs, lemon peels, and honey. The finish offers brown sugar and cinnamon, along with tannic oak and bitter espresso."
