Rebel 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Really pleased with this. I wish it was a little more full and oily, but overall the flavour is excellent.

Barrel 6184594 filled on 2/16/12 Nose: vanilla nutmeg, some caramel Palette: warm cinnamon, up front, coats the tongue nicely, slightly hot. Mid palette has a nutty flavor with a spice note. Not too sweet but enough to know this is a wheated whiskey. Has some earthy tones to it.

Peanut butter flavor and mouthfeel with a bit of honeysuckle.

Received a sample in trade. Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes Color: Medium amber. Nose: Caramel and apples. Some honey. Palate: Sweet with caramel and fruit. Some baking spice and cinnamon. Finish: Long with medium heat. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 6.5/10 - a good dram, at a good proof, but probably not a daily drinker for me.
