Rhum Agricole Vieux
Rhum J.M // Martinique
Named for founder Jean-Marie Martin, Rhum J.M is Martinique's oldest and smallest distillery, located in the foothills of the active volcano Mount Pelée.
It sources its sugarcane from the surrounding Habitation Bellevue, with juice pressed within an hour of harvest. The XO first rests in stainless steel, then spends six years in re-charred bourbon barrels.

Tasting Notes
"Rhum J.M XO, a complex, medium-weight rhum, reminds one of a boozy Christmas cake topped with butterscotch sauce. That might sound overly rich and sweet, however, a jolt of bright acidity enters the palate, balanced with mouthwatering, tart apricot, mango, guava and pineapple. Sweet spices mix with sage and a hint of fresh mint, ending in a golden caramel finish. "
