Very good, it has the right pepper and spice a good rye should have.

Definitely a burn at the end and not my favorite sipper, but other reviews mention it works nicely for mixer. May leave it for that and lean towards others for everyday rye. Good price for 100 proof

Sweet and smooth

Sweet and spicy with a bit of burn. Would be a good mixer.

Neck pour, neat, no air time. Nose of caramel and a hint of spearmint. Taste is crème brûlée forward then warm baking spice. Medium-long finish of rye spice and maple syrup. Enjoyable sipper. Definitely good for a daily and the heat and balance stands up as a mixer.

Aroma is shellac, caramel, vanilla. Taste is lightly spicy, maybe dark fruit, wood, honey, but a lot of alcohol burn. Ok, may be better in cocktails.

Nose: bit alcohol forward, usual peppermint notes, vanilla sweetness, rye bread. More sweet than the Woodford Rye. Palate: silky and friendly start, then pepper from mid palate and caramel sweetness at the end Aftertaste: medium, sweet, creamy, more oaky after 2-3 sips. More oaky and active vs the woodford.
