Rock Creek White Whiskey is distilled from organically grown rye from Maryland and malted rye from Virginia. It is unaged and bottled at 49.5% abv. The name alludes to Rock Creek Park, which was once home to grain mills before becoming a federal park.

Distilled from a cereal mash bill comprised of any grain(s). Generally unaged except in the US, where it must age at least briefly in oak for an unspecified amount of time. Sometimes sold as "moonshine" although that is a misnomer.

Tasting Notes

"Unaged, 99 proof, 100% rye... One Eight Distilling's Rock Creek White Whiskey sounds a bit intimidating. It certainly has a rye kick, and the warm spice carries through to a bright, clean finish. It's sippable even at its relatively high proof, though it will most likely find its way into cocktails, where its assertive rye character will shine through. Unaged rye is not for everyone, but this is an appealing take on the spirit. "
