Ron Malecon Reserva Imperial 25 Year
Aged Rum
Ron Malecon // Panama
Bottled by Italian company Savio s.r.l., the Ron Malecon 25 is distilled in Panama.
Given its age, it was likely distilled at the Varela Hermanos, best known for making Ron Abuelo, under the care of revered Master Distiller “Don Pancho” Fernandez. It lies near the top of the Ron Malecon range, alongside its 12, 15, 18, and 21-year siblings. The brand is not imported into the U.S.

Aged RumRum that is aged, but no specific type or size barrel required. No set time required for length of aging, but will often carry an age statement (which should be taken with a grain of salt). Often thought of as "sipping rums".

Tasting Notes
"In the glass, the color is a dark, lustrous copper hue. It looks like a 25-year rum should. The nose carries enticing aromas of stone fruit, oak, and just a hint of glue. Imagine a fresh-baked fruit pie in the hold of a wooden ship. It enters the palate luxuriously, an absolute flavor bomb of fruit. The mouthfeel and finish are crisp in the style of Cuban rums, with a dash of eucalyptus if you look for it. A complete joy to sip."
