Revisited a second bottle of this in April of 2021. It's been an interesting two years really focusing on American whiskey.
I do believe my interpretation of this would be ever so slightly different today, but it's close.
It reminds me of prunes packed in a Maduro cigar box.
It remains an outstanding value and I will be sure that every time I get the chance for a bottle, I'll take it
nose is vanilla, over ripe fruit, barrel and tobacco
soft mouthfeel, warm and smooth and oily
Carmel and tobacco front with vanilla notes
cinnamon and clove finish mixed with barrel.
Peanut and peanut butter all over
a few drops of water opened it up a little.
excellent value at $35!
