Probs best scotch had 2023. Along with Rich Cacao from Macallun, this one is winning the top notch scotch Ive ever had.
Beautiful, gentle, marzipan, warm breeze at nose, kicked in with a bit of a smoke into mouth, peated for a second, showed the pizazz then gone.
No bullshit spice or anything other than and after.
Beautiful one I try to chase after but climax ends at the moment of its peak then gone.
To the whole night Ive been looking for though.
Very clear, very striaghforward comparing to Springbank 12 years. Loved this babe way more.
Loved Rich Cacao for the layers, this one the rhythm. Nothing too much at the end is my new type now.
Tried the newer 46 abv Oloroso/Palo Cortado/Pedro Ximenez cask finish and it can be mistaken for a Glenmorangie in a blind tasting with its richly honeyed and fruity flavor profile with some sherry influence. Has notes of honey, almonds, raisins, Luxardo cherries, orange peels, cinnamon, peaches, licorice, cloves, figs, Hazlenuts, milk chocolate, mocha, stewed red apples, pineapples, and toffee.
This is a superb drink, but the price makes this whisky so unattainable, considering that you could get many great, some better, whiskeys at the $230 price range.
