"This very unusual gin places its emphasis on licorice root. The juniper is much gentler here than in a typical London dry, and one does not find the bite of coriander or citrus peel one might expect. Instead, the subtle notes of licorice linger on the palate with a perception of mild sweetness. This esoteric gin could be combined with a more traditional one to make a sort of Old Tom or be enjoyed in cocktails that take advantage of its unique flavor profile. It's not an all-purpose gin, but it is a beguiling one."
