The brand is named for the Salcombe Fruit Schooners which carried goods, fruits (especially citrus) and spices to and from England at the start of the 19th century. This variant is named for the Start Point lighthouse, with the citrus-forward botanicals inspired by what had been carried as the ships' cargo.

Tasting Notes

"The super dry gin is so grapefruit and lemon zest forward that it borders on soapyiness, with strong juniper, ginger and pine presence, and a bit of acetone detected in the finish. With a good tonic added, these vibrant citrusy tones mellow out considerably, making it a good G n T gin, especially with a bit of grapefruit squeezed in. "
