The brand is named for the Salcombe Fruit Schooners which carried goods, fruits (especially citrus) and spices to and from England at the start of the 19th century. This variant is named for the Start Point lighthouse, with the citrus-forward botanicals inspired by what had been carried as the ships' cargo.

London Dry GinNeutral spirit flavored with juniper and other botanicals. In the US, the minimum ABV is 40%; In the EU, it is 37.5%. Originally, only made in London, this can be made anywhere. No artificial flavors or colors can be added. Only water, neutral grain spirit, and sugar (no more than 0.1g/l) can be added.

"The super dry gin is so grapefruit and lemon zest forward that it borders on soapyiness, with strong juniper, ginger and pine presence, and a bit of acetone detected in the finish. With a good tonic added, these vibrant citrusy tones mellow out considerably, making it a good G n T gin, especially with a bit of grapefruit squeezed in. "
