3.5 out of 5 stars
A decent tequila I usually use for mixing, but I had some on its own and it’s really not bad!
I tasted notes of traditional agave, like that honey flavor, with hints of apple and possibly citrus to it
It’s a fairly smooth finish. Pretty enjoyable if you want to avoid that burn
I’d buy it again. I don’t know if I’d get specifically as a sipping tequila, but if I was in a pinch, and I didn’t have many options, I Definitely would not go wrong with this!
Like the peppery palette and mix of fruity, oily, rich and smooth flavoring. The finish is nice and short. Not as smooth straight up as El Jimador Blanco, but Hornitos is like using a higher rye bourbon-makes a better cocktail! Sure Weller is smoother straight up but Bulleit makes a better old fashioned.

Agave, citrus, and faint white pepper on the nose. These same notes return on the palate. Light mouthfeel. Complexity is sorely lacking here, but the relative smoothness helps compensate slightly.
2.25/5.00 – Mediocre (neat)
