Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
In June of 2015, this marque was rebranded and rebottled from Sauza Blue Reposado to Sauza Signature Blue Reposado. The reposado is aged for at least 2 months and is a 100% blue agave tequila.
Tequila ReposadoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged from 2 months up to a year in barrels no larger than 20,000 L. Any type of wood is acceptable, although ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Reposado translates to "rested".
"This very pale straw colored reposado offers up a light nose of agave, white pepper, vanilla and caramel with a hint of orange peel. In the mouth, agave and cooked pineapple notes appear first, before a hit of pepper, ending with vanilla, orange blossom and subtle oak. The finish is quick, with light oak, agave and roasted pineapple making a brief appearance."
