Canadian
Shelter Point // British Columbia, Canada
Shelter Point Artisanal Single Malt is made from 100% malted barley which is grown on its 380-acre seaside estate in Oyster River, BC. After double copper pot still distillation, the distillery ages its single malt in hand-selected single-use Kentucky bourbon barrels.
The bourbon is dumped then immediately hauled across the States on a 43-hour tour, then refilled at the Vancouver Island distillery. Bottled without chill-filtration at 92 proof.

Tasting Notes
"This is a whisky with range where patience offers reward. The nose drops a subtle series of fragrances alternating from chocolate mint, floral lilacs and farm-fresh grass while vanilla, caramel and malted barley develop. This assortment continues in the medley of flavors with sweet vanilla, sea spray, spice and a slight bitter nip of grapefruit peel leading into a gentle finish. Just enough of the whole enchilada to involve all taste buds without weighing down the mouth."
