Brothers Billy, David, Ben and Darian Kaufman founded their distillery as a way of creating jobs for the local farming community in Short Mountain, Tennessee. The grain used for their products is all grown locally with sustainable practices. Though known for their unaged whiskey, this is their first bourbon, aged 22 months.

Tasting Notes

"While it possesses that familiar "green" quality of a young bourbon, there's enough character here to make it drinkable. Toasted corn coats the tongue with caramel flavors, though there isn't much fruit to pick. A fair amount of spice, both hot and sweet, comes in toward the finish, suggesting a strong presence of malted rye in the mash bill. It could definitely use more time in barrel to mellow, however it's got some legs. "
