Sipsmith London Dry Gin

Rating: X/23 Bottle kill. This still has that fishy note. It's had lots of time at low volume to get some air and I was kind of hoping that would help. Nope. Yeah, there are some other flavors in here that hold potential, but I just can't get past that fish. Gross. I'm not going to bother contemplating this further - it's still a bad gin.

I like this gin, as it’s less floral and citrusy. Very spicy with some heat, strong juniper, and definitely not for those who like gins that have a lot of other botanicals going on. The finish is bitter, but not terribly so, and it gives a nice tang to a G+T, I think. The character of this gin is limited, in that you can’t point to a particular unique botanical (floral, tea, citrus, etc.) being at the forefront, but in certain cases this is just what you want.

A nice 'basic' gin. Juniper and citrusflavours. Nothing too special, but good.
