Dont let the hipster packaging fool you. This must be a young spirit as it’s not complex and this is all ablut the Abv which is high but far to noticeable on the palate if not the nose. It’s not even a peat monster so doesn’t even tick that box. Pass

Strong smoke Smooth Warm Nutty

smoky, oily, spicy, salty

Smoke and Vanilla on the nose almost reminds me of Baby Back Ribs smoked to perfection. Palate has a lot of heat at first but it quickly shifts to pepper jack and subtle notes of walnut/hazelnut and a nice long smokiness on the finish.

Nose and initial palate are complex, but the finish does not match. Overall, still very good.

Im pretty sure they use jim beam barrels to age this whiskey. Its pretty good, a little young, but good. Lots of flavor. Smoke is barbecue and new tires. I enjoyed it, glad i bought this bottle
