Reviewed February 29, 2024The nose presents at first as oak, not in the sense of the usual vanilla, caramel notes, but as freshly stained wood. This is followed by bright, green fruit, with a herbacious hint of fennel. The palette is bright and lively, with oaky green fruit bursting forth from a subtle smoke and herbaceousness. The finish is drying and lengthy, coating the back of the tongue with a peppery, herbal cedar. I was lucky to be given this bottle, and it doesn't disappoint. I am not a big whisk(e)y drinker, and as someone who enjoys unique spirits, I am a massive fan. -

Reviewed August 18, 2023 (edited September 6, 2023)Subtle leather is sweeter / fruitier than Japonese whiskies ive had. Very airy mouthfeel that evaporates on the tongue. This is a must try for the experience alone. -

Reviewed July 3, 2023 (edited August 10, 2023)Nose is saltines, flowers and pear. Very light and abruptly different from the Balcones American single malts i’ve been trying lately. The palate brings smoke and oak and the tropical notes the bottle promises. Delicate, smoky, fruity—representing the light, honeyed end of the USA single malt spectrum.49.0 USD per BottleGomer's of Kansas
