Reviewed June 23, 2022 (edited April 12, 2024)This particular single barrel is a Bourbon Lens selection, bottled at 52.4%, 5 years old, 11 months in a vino de naranja barrel. The white wine and orange peel are evident on the nose, along with bourbony notes of caramel and vanilla. The palate brings orange, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, mint, and mild herbal notes. The finish leaves a little too much bitter orange peel. At the sale price of $50, I think this was a great buy, but at the regular price of $70, the value diminishes a bit, although it's still a well done craft whiskey with decent age and a unique finish. This is the first whiskey I've tried from Starlight, and it's a strong first impression. I'd be interested to try some others. 3.5 stars.50.0 USD per Bottle -

Reviewed October 22, 2021 (edited August 1, 2022)Initially a bit hot/ethanol-ly but mellows out after sitting for a bit. Orange peel flavor is strong and lingers nicely. Enough spice but not a ton. Light mouthfeel. Solid pickup. Note: ordered off reddit Oct 202170.0 USD per Bottle
