Starward Nova Single Malt

Tasty mix of redcurrant jam and tannins, this finishes tartly dry.

Lots of red wine/fruity notes on the nose. Spicy/oaky flavor with a dry, clean, short oak finish.

It took me a few pours to appreciate this. Dry, almost white wine nose. Slightly spicy and oaky with some strawberry and plum jam notes. Smooth finish (with as touch of water to open up the whisky). Definitely worth a try, different from an american whiskey or scotch with qualities that almost straddle the two

On the nose, notes of sweet and rich maple syrup. On the palette, smooth oak and subtle pancakes. At the tail end, it concludes with a spicy burst of black pepper and cinnamon. The spicy kick gets subtler as the whisky aerates, through it remains present.
