Starward Two-Fold Double Grain

Pretty good dram with maltiness and a little fruity flavor

6th October, 2021 Nosing: sugar, honey Palate: caramel, roasty, creamy Finish: sweet, calm, fruity Has been enjoyed neat, in an Old Fashioned, and at varying ratios with Coca Cola No Sugar. Preferred in an Old Fashioned.

Smells like vanilla, tastes flat and boring without much warmth.

Very fruity on the nose with caramel notes. The taste is pretty generic with wood notes and a little spice with a short finish. Not bad, not great.

Light fruit, oak and slightly sweet with wine on the palate. It’s a good pour. I picked it up on a whim and I’m glad I did.

Berries are apparent in the nose. The toffee and citrus of the early taste transitions into some dry, woody, spicy notes in the finish.
