This tequila is made from 100% Tahona-crushed blue weber agave and pure spring water from Atotonilco el Alto in the highlands of Jalisco. It is double-distilled and aged for 8 years in charred American oak barrels.

Tequila Extra AñejoDistilled from 100% blue Weber agave, it is aged for at least 3 years in barrels not to exceed 600 liters. Any type of wood is acceptable, although ex-bourbon barrels are most common. Extra Añejo tequilas are also known as "ultra aged".

"First pass leaves little impression, but then just a touch of earthy aromas followed by lots of oakiness, which keeps pushing forward. The wood overpowers any agave sweetness or fruitiness, pushing it to the periphery and leaving a chewy mouthful of tequila left to age a very long time. Not a lot of pleasing sweetness and the finish is tannic and slightly bitter"
