Suttcliffe & Son The Exceptional Malt

A balanced, Blended Malt Whisky by Don Sutcliffe & Willie Phillips. Here’s a list for you: Glefarclas, Ben Nevis, Alt-á-Bhainne, Auchroisk, Clenallachie, Westport, Speyside & a 30 YO Macallan. All eight of these have been blended & finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks. With 1000 bottles released. It has an aromatic birth with notes of brown butter, rancio & orange marmalade; while a full life adds notes of nut, red berries, gingersnaps & molasses; that led to a long death with notes of Almond butter, oak & dry grain. Sherry bomb. Viscous and silky. No peat no smoke. Not sure what other reviewers tried. This one is legit.

Werthers original smell Sweet tarts, acidic, fruity,

Smoke and peat. Did not expect that. Horrible. Even mixed.

I let hubby finish this taste. I’d drink it as a mixer —if someone else paid.

Pear Spicy Beer

Bottle kill review. This just got better and better over time. Rich, viscous, malty, fruity and nutty with a hint of peat smoke. Mmm, so good. Distiller Review No. 335
