Appearance: Looking in the glass, a caramel syrup color shines back, while thin viscous legs slowly make their descent.
Nose: The delectable nose is a complex dance of salty and briny, peaty and herbal, with notes of greasy meat, dry dead grass, and campfire smoke.
Taste: The palate contains a moderate peatiness, with other notes of bacon meat, fruity green grape and pear, baked brussel sprouts,
Finish: The finish is long, peaty, and dry.
Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this island scotch and will definitely be buying it again. I love the peat in it but for those starting their peaty journey, it won’t kill you. On a scale of 1-3, I’d probably call this a level 2 as far as peat goes. Talisker, blessings on you, my friends! Sláinte!
