This single malt is one of eight bottlings for Diageo’s 2021 Special Release collection. Each of the whiskeys was bottled at cask strength and were selected by Master Blender Dr. Craig Wilson.
With a “Legends Untold” theme for the collection, the brand selected digital illustrator Ken Taylor to design the packaging. Talisker 8 Year was matured in heavily-peated refill casks and bottled at 59.7% ABV.

Tasting Notes
"This young-ish whisky is a real over achiever! The nose is predictably briny, but with bright notes of orange peel and a sweet, mesquite-like smokiness. The smoke folds out over the palate, but not in an overpowering, rubbery way, more like smoked almonds. Along with a sharp salinity, there are flavors of dark cherries and dark chocolate, along with clove, rosemary, and a savory, almost roasted tomato-like element. The finish in this complex dram is chocolatey, with a pleasant heat and medium smoke. "
