Tattersall Interstate American Single Malt
American Single Malt
Tattersall // Minnesota, USA
The inspiration for this whiskey is the nation's first interstate park which is located in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. It's an American single malt whiskey made from 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley including some cherrywood smoked and dark roasted malts. The whiskey is distilled in Minnesota, but it actually is aged for at least 4 years in both Minnesota and Wisconsin using virgin American oak barrels.
This bottling marks the first American single malt whiskey released by Tattersall to date. Available in, you guessed it, Minnesota and Wisconsin beginning February 2023. (SRP $45).

Tasting Notes
"Brandied cherries show up early on the nose along with chocolate in a myriad of forms: fudge, malted milk bills and cocoa powder, as well as fresh, thick-cut multi-grain bread. The palate is rich and carries those chocolaty notes forward, along with candied orange slices, burnt caramel, and roasted peanuts in shells. The finish offers espresso, coffee beans, oak, and a soft-simmering smoke."
