Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt

(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Irish Whiskey Tasting, 22 January 2021). Nose: Lightly medicinal, peat & char, tropical fruit Palate: Light sweet peat, bonfire, charred meat, sweet (pudding) wine Finish: Bonfire ash, Sweet dark dried fruit (plums, dates, prunes). Oak Came joint first out of the six whiskies, with 23% of the final vote for favourite of the night. (82% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky). All of the whiskies in the tasting came very close together in the vote for favourite.

A nice introductory to the world of peated whiskies. Light smoke and vanilla laced butter cookies. Very nice indeed.

Best irish peat whisky !!!

My husband enjoys BlackPitts quite a bit. The nose is lighter than a lot of peated whiskey. The taste has a lot of light fruit and honeysuckle with an earthy peat finish. It’s much lighter than Connemara and the most balanced peated Irish whiskey behind WD O’Connell’s Bill Phil.

Nice peaty whisky. Not overpowering. Long finish. Best irish peat whisky for me
