I definitely get the rum notes, but it's not overpowering - I feel like there is a faint banana taste. The whiskey is slightly sweet with some decent burn, with some dry wood and alcohol in the finish. I was expecting a maltier, more grain influenced flavor, which is what I was hoping for. Grain is definitely there, but I feel like it's more in the background. Definitely drinkable, but I don't think that it's exceptional. I feel like I could get more out of a scotch at the same price point. A bit of mint in the finish.
