Tequila Komos Añejo Cristalino
Tequila Komos Añejo Cristalino is made using 100% blue weber agave harvested from both the Tequila Valley (Lowlands) and Los Altos (Highlands). After cooking in traditional stone ovens, the agave is fermented and then distilled in copper pot stills. Then the tequila is aged in French oak white wine barrels for 12 months.
Next the tequila is placed in a charcoal column to remove impurities and color. After this process, the tequila rests in a Greek amphorae. It's bottled in a blue porcelain bottle at 40% ABV.

Tasting Notes
"The aroma of the tequila is odd. Really difficult to know you're drinking a tequila. There's some cookie dough here along with some baked pineapple and an earthy note (clay). Flavor wise, it opens up a bit but it's almost like a cross between a rhum agricole and a tequila. it's soft on the palate and is initially sweet. But the finish leans bittersweet and shows some green pepper and toasted oak flavors. Overall, the flavors are all over the place with the filtration removing too much of the agave. Pass."
