Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year

Gerhard bought a bottle of this while in Edinburgh and we tasted along with the Dingle & Robert Graham whisky. Nose - fruity & sweet. Taste - creamy at first, which develops into a an oaky, fruityness though with a bit of caramel. After lingering alcohol & warmth.

Really taste the vanilla notes and the rum cask enhances them. Sweet almost which makes a nice contrast with the heat. A little water opens it up.

This is really nice. A bit sweet, but not Bourbon. Very good.
