Famous Grouse Ruby Cask

Reviewed June 1, 2023Nose: Wood. Sweet, dried red fruits. Maple syrup. Palate: Light and thin body. Raisins. Some very subtle jamaican ginger cake notes or maybe soreen cake. Finish: Gentle barrel wood. Developing baking spices. The aftertaste is that of a tawny port with a tannic dryness. I wasn't sold on this at first but it got a little more complex in a short amount of time. It's easy to dismiss this as cheap swill but it has its place. -

Reviewed December 30, 2021Gold color. Oily on the glass. Smooth and supple with the ruby fruits nicely present. Pretty spicy as well. It’s nothing fancy, but for less than €20 a bottle it a solid 2.5
