Solid. Glenlivet bourbon notes of shortbread, vanilla and baking spice but mildly turned up with the decent age statement and proof. I’d buy another at $50-60. I’d like to see more like this from Glenlivet.

Golden nectar in color. Plenty of spice to chose from in the nose…..clove, cinnamon, lots of sweet vanilla. More spice and vanilla on the palate but also a tangy, citrus, fruitiness. The finish brings out the spice rack again and concludes with slightly bitter, but oh so nice, grapefruit. A very pleasant, and complex, dram.

The nose starts off absolutely delightful. Strong notes of caramel apples with vanilla spread over the top, rich but surprisingly not overly sweet. The vanilla and apples continue on the palate which also introduces some pepper spice, which is a nice addition. The finish is the only disappointment here as it fades away quickly. Overall this might be my favorite expression I've had from Glenlivet (although I admit I am not a big scotch drinker).
