Little bit peaty and spicy but not too much

Review #319 Whiskey Tour of the World 2025 #19 Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Very pale amber. Nose: Smoke, apple, pear, plum. Palate: Smoke and brine with a bit of rruit and oak. Finish: Medium length with medium heat. The briny note lingers. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 7/10 - This isn’t an Islay but it drinks like one. The nose doesn’t have as much smoke and salt as the palate or finish, so they come as a surprise. The briny note lasts and lasts, even after the finish has fallen away.

Cream soda, dried pineapple, fresh spearmint leaf, homemade sourdough, peat comes through strong on the palate, rock sugar, citronella

The first thing that hits is the smoky aroma. The immediate flavour is earthy, followed by a peppery aftertaste. It’s easy to sip at and best enjoyed slowly. Fantastic scotch.
