NEAT: So much fruit on the nose. Tart fruit, cherries, green apple, berries. Slight chocolate note and some vanilla.
Wow drinks like a scotch. Heavy cherries throughout and a nice cherry pie finish. Middle has an interesting maltiness. Pretty light on the tongue. Decent alcohol but no real burn. Definitely getting the port pretty deep in the aftertaste.
First time really venturing into Irish Whiskey. Pretty solid! Would drink again. Glad I got the bottle.
Spice and stewed fruits on the nose. The whiskey is sweet with a warming and smooth mouthfeel which becomes a bit peppery and bitter. The finish has some warming heat.
Great unique whiskey! Color is almost dark pink, the nose is strong with the Tawny Port flavor. I was expecting it to overwhelm on the palate but it’s surprisingly well balanced! Notes of dark fruit are joined by vanilla and spice and shortbread. The perfect whiskey for the winter holidays, the first double vatted Irish Whiskey in 50 years, it’s a bargain
